TONY MOWBRAY will warn his players they must dodge the bullets before they will get the chance to shoot for glory at The Emirates tomorrow night.

The Celtic boss expects his side to come under a heavy bombardment from the Gunners in the early stages of the Champions League play-off tie.

He believes his counterpart, Arsene Wenger, will order his Arsenal players - who carry a 2-0 lead from the first leg - to attempt to deliver the killer blow as quickly as possible.

As he headed south with his squad today, Mowbray explained: "It has got to be step by step. Let's try to get the first goal if we can. But if Arsenal come out the blocks all guns firing, trying to put the tie to bed very quickly, and manage to score a goal or two in the first 20 minutes, then it's probably finished.

"Everyone will understand that. The lads all know that.

"So it's about concentration basically, concentration not to be over cavalier."

Mowbray has experience of taking a team to The Emirates, his West Brom side losing just 1-0 to Arsenal in the opening week of last season.

Tomorrow, there is much more at stake than three league points. In excess of £10million for reaching the group stage of the Champions League is riding on the result.

Mowbray does not want desperation to get back into the tie to be his team's undoing, recognising this would play right into the hands of one of the best counter-attacking sides in the Premier League.

So the tactics will be to keep it as tight as possible in the early stages, then gradually try to put Arsenal under pressure.

The manager reminded his players: "We don't have to get back into the tie in the first half. I think us scoring the first goal at any time will give jitters to their team and put them on the back foot.

"If a team scores a goal against them, their crowd gets a bit nervous and their players push on a little bit more and leave a few more holes.

"You can score after an hour or you can score after 75 minutes. If you have 15 minutes to go and score another goal to take it into extra-time, then so be it.

"So we must have some caution about the way we play, but we also have to be positive."

Mowbray will take his side to train at The Emirates tonight, but will keep his starting line-up under wraps.

There are no new injury problems. Landry N'Guemo is suspended, so there will be at least one change from the first-leg team.
