The troupe are fronting and participating in the NSPCC’s Aerobathon, a sponsored two-hour workout to raise £425,000 in the UK as part of the charity’s Child’s Voice Appeal. The plan is to employ more ChildLine counsellors.
It is estimated that answering a call to ChildLine costs £4 and at present the helpline can afford to answer only two-thirds of its calls.
The service is free and available 24 hours a day, and receives calls from young people seeking advice about problems such as bullying and sexual abuse.
The aerobics session will take place on February 8 between 6pm and 8pm in 150 leisure centres across the country. You could also create your own sponsorship page online at www.justgiving.com/nspcc
