TRAINEE Glasgow Corporation bus driver Moira Wilcox uses her lipstick to update the information on the front of her vehicle in 1971.
Moira was among the first group of women promoted from the role of clippie' to sit up front and take control of her one-woman-operated' vehicle.
At a time when sexism in the workplace - particularly in what were regarded as traditional male enclaves - was rife, and On The Buses was regarded as classic comedy, Moira and her pioneering pals were at the forefront of a revolution in the lives of women.
Today, no-one would bat an eyelid at the sight of a female bus driver.
