SCOTS consider their home computer more essential than a car and 71% could not live without it for more than a week.
A survey commissioned by electrical specialists Comet has revealed the extent to which Scottish consumers rely on their home PCs and laptops.
Of the 1000 people quizzed, nearly 90% said they use their PC every day for tasks such as work (50%), schoolwork (32%) and paying bills (65.1%) - as well as e-mailing their friends and gaming.
