SMOOTH singer Lionel Richie made sure no-one was on their seat as he got a packed SECC dancing.
The Alabama-born superstar wasn't going to let his fans have a quiet time as he belted out his feel-good classics during his two-hour set last night.
Lionel was here to entertain and he ensured the Glasgow crowd had a great night bopping along to hits including, All Night Long, Running With the Night and, of course, Dancing on the Ceiling.
Quantity rather than quality was the order of the evening as the former Commodore rattled through the hits.
"I'm gonna make a lot of mistakes," he warned, noting that his most dedicated fans know the lyrics better than he does.
But this concert was always going to be more of a party for his delighted fans.
Easy was given the cabaret treatment and Still was reduced to a verse and chorus, but the manic pace was slowed right down for another romantic favourite, Three Times a Lady.
As soon as Lionel uttered those magic words, "Once, twice" the cameras picked out dozens of misty-eyed couples.
Stuck On You became a mass sing-along and all of the females in the audience stood in for Diana Ross on Endless Love before a Commodores mini-set closed the main show.
But Lionel wasn't content to give the audience just a couple of songs for an encore.
We were treated to Hello, Angels and a dance version of My Destiny before the mighty All Night Long sent fans home with smiles on their faces.
