CELTIC are today facing double disappointment as Neil Lennon attempts to reshape his squad.

Selling Ki Sung-Yueng is anticipated to provide the bulk of the Hoops manager's budget in this transfer window.

But the £6million-rated midfielder – who missed the final month of the season with a hamstring strain – has picked up another thigh injury while playing for South Korea in their World Cup qualifier against Lebanon.

The timing could not have been worse as Turkish club, Trabzonspor, appeared ready to make their move for the 23-year-old.

Lennon has already earmarked a chunk of his transfer budget for the purchase of Leicester central defender, Matt Mills.

But Bolton have now jumped to the head of the queue chasing 25-year-old Mills, who has fallen out of favour with Foxes boss Nigel Pearson.

Ki has already revealed he will be considering his future at Parkhead over the summer.

And, with countryman Cha Du-Ri released to join Fortuna Dusseldorf last week, his departure during this window is anticipated.

South Korea's World Cup qualifiers appeared to offer the perfect platform for Ki to show he was back to full fitness and form.

However, during the 3-0 victory over Lebanon in Goyang, he was forced to limp off and will now undergo an MRI scan to determine the extent of the latest injury.

Ki is the midfielder the Hoops believe they can afford to sell. And, if they can cash in on him, it would strengthen their hand to retain others, including Victor Wanyama.

The Kenyan's business manager, Rob Moore, confirmed the 20-year-old holds ambitions to test himself at a higher level and said: "Victor is not unhappy at Celtic. Far from it.

"However, should something come in, he feels they should listen."

Meanwhile, Celtic are still waiting on Fraser Forster giving them his answer after offering the goalkeeper – who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Parkhead from Premier League side Newcastle United – a four-year deal.
