SCOTTISH knitters are today joining together for a special study day in Glasgow.
Academics from Glasgow University will bring knitting professionals, experts and enthusiastic amateurs together for the public event at the Lighthouse.
Reinventing Scotland's Woollen Traditions will host talks that will explore the history of the industry and the impact its current popularity is having on Scotland's creative industries.
It will also focus on how knitting is changing in the 21st Century.
Knitting has enjoyed a revival in recent years and a new generation of knitters are rejuvenating one of Scotland's most recognisable and internationally renowned crafts.
