A GRAVE is to be opened this week by forensics experts searching for the body of missing schoolgirl Moira Anderson.
The family burial plot at Old Monkland Cemetery in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, will be opened tomorrow.
The grave is known to contain eight bodies, but a radar examination suggests it may contain a ninth.
Moira disappeared in February, 1957, aged 11.
The grave contains the body of Sinclair Upton, who died soon after Moira disappeared.
Mr Upton knew Alexander Gartshore, the bus driver suspected of killing Moira.
A sheriff last month granted permission for the grave to be opened.
