A WOMAN who appeared in BBC documentary series The Scheme has been jailed for 25 months for battering her ex-girlfriend.
Janelle Johnstone broke an ankle jumping out of an upstairs window to escape and told a court she feared being killed in the attack by Kerry McMurray, 25, and her new partner Ashleigh McDowall, 19.
McMurray also hit Miss Johnstone's girlfriend Karen Ralston over the head with a Buckfast bottle in the drunken brawl in Kilmarnock.
The town's sheriff court heard a row had broken out over an incident three months earlier when Miss Johnstone, who was then going out with McMurray, had insulted McDowall's late mother.
The Scheme was filmed in Kilmarnock.
