THE latest programme of films to be shown at a South Side festival has been revealed.

The new season of the Southside Film Festival Club, at The Glad Cafe, 1006a Pollokshaws Road, Shawlands, will begin with a St Patrick's weekend double bill of A Million Bricks – the story behind Belfast's biggest peace line, a wall of one million bricks separating Protestant and Catholic communities – and Bernadette: Notes on a Political Journey – a documentary about the life of Britain's youngest elected female MP, Bernadette Devlin McAliskey.

Both will be screened on Friday, March 15, at 8pm.

On Tuesday, March 19, there will be a screening of the Bafta and Oscar-nominated Beasts of the Southern Wild (12A), described as "a visually stunning, truly original piece of film-making, featuring amazing performances from non-actors and the youngest-ever Oscar nominee, nine-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis.
