A man has appeared in court charged with the murder 26 years ago of 16-year-old Elaine Doyle in Greenock.
John Docherty, 48, from the town, appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court. He is also accused of theft.
He made no plea during the private hearing and was remanded in custody.
