THE number of people using Prestwick Airport continues to climb, with 118,634 passengers passing through the terminal in May, a 14% increase on the same month last year.
May's numbers were approximately 6500 up on those of April this year, representing the airport's eighth consecutive month of year-on-year passenger growth.
Airport chief Iain Cochrane said May's figures maintains the upwards trend in 2013 which started with January passenger numbers increasing by 31% on January 2012.
Ryanair has 27 routes to nine European countries from the airport.
