THE worst of the recession is over but firms still experience difficult trading conditions, according to a study.
The Scottish Chambers of Commerce said demand remains weak despite more positive signs of an economic recovery.
The findings, in a survey conducted by the University of Strathclyde's Fraser of Allander Institute, reflects attitudes from the second quarter of this year.
Tourism had improved, with visitor numbers and occupancy rates up, but more than half of construction firms reported working below optimum levels.
