FIVE new apprentices have been taken on by a Clydebank-based firm.
Glenhead Engineering has hired new recruits from local schools Clydebank High and St Peter of the Apostle.
The company, which specialises in precision engineering, said the apprentices will attend Anniesland College for the first year of their four-year apprenticeship.
A spokesman from the firm said: "We as company have seen rapid growth in engineering, particularly oil and gas, and continue to seek engineers."
