IT'S not every day you see a duck-billed platypus in Glasgow, but Sydney is here for a world premiere.
Scottish Opera's new, children's festive show, Platypus in Boots, is aimed at three to five-year-olds.
The stage show centres on Sydney the Platypus, who has travelled from Australia to Glasgow in the hope of seeing snow for the first time.
Children will be encouraged to participate in the mix of music, comedy and puppets.
There is also a host of Glasgow characters in show, snowball fights and a Brussels Sprout Von Trapp sing-along.
The production is backed by Scottish Opera's Education Angels programme, which encourages people of all ages and abilities to get involved in drama and performing.
The show runs from today until Sunday December 1.
For show timings and tickets contact the box office at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, 100 Renfrew Street, Glasgow, G2 3DB or by phone: 0141 332 5057 or go to www.rcs.ac.uk
