SUNSHINE on Leith actor Kevin Guthrie has become the first ambassador of a Scottish autism charity after hearing about the role on Twitter.
It's the second time Speur-Ghlan (Gaelic for blue skies) has used the social media platform to reach out to celebrities. It first had success with TV presenter and columnist Tara Palmer Tomkinson who became their patron last November.
The charity delivers early therapeutic intervention for children diagnosed with autism or developmental delays.
Paisley-born Kevin, who played Ally in the Proclaimers' smash hit musical, also appeared in the Hogmanay special Two Doors Down.
He said: "I can't wait to get involved with the incredible work of Speur-Ghlan - it's an amazing charity."
"Every kid in this world deserves the right to the best chance - the best development possible for them."
