GLASGOW City Council paid out £360,000 in compensation last year to motorists whose cars were damaged by potholes.
New figures obtained by the Tories show the city is still paying out more than any other Scottish council, but the figure is down from £1 million the previous year.
It comes just a day after the Evening Times reported that Glasgow is winning the war on potholes.
Motorists in Scotland were reimbursed £584,745 in 2013, with the five-year total now standing at more than £2.7m.
Aberdeenshire paid out £34,000, and the figure in Edinburgh was £27,000.
