A teenager has appeared in court after police seized drugs of the same kind as those linked to the death of a schoolgirl.
Marc Houston, 19, has been charged with drug offences in connection with the recovery of a bag of red-coloured ecstasy pills known as "mortal kombat".
Staff at the Liquid Rooms nightclub in Edinburgh called in police on Sunday.
Houston, from Glasgow, made no plea or declaration when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court and was released on bail.
His arrest was not being linked to the death of Regane MacColl, 17, from Clydebank, who died after taking a "mortal kombat" tablet at Glasgow nightclub The Arches on Saturday, February 1.
