A CONSULTATION into the future of homoeopathic care is drawing to a close.

NHS Lanarkshire's homoeopathy consultation is asking members of the public to give their views on whether the health board should continue to use services provided by the Centre for Integrative Care (CIC), formerly known as the Glasgow Homoeopathic Hospital.

The CIC is at risk of closure if more health boards withdraw funding for homoeopathic care, as NHS Highland did in 2010.

NHS Lanarkshire director for public health, Harpreet Kohli, said: "We've had a fantastic response to the consultation so far.

"More than 3000 people have taken the time to fill in the questionnaire, but we want to encourage as many people as possible to give us their views which is why we've sent out this reminder as we approach the end of the consultation."

You can view the consultation document and submit your views by visiting the NHS Lanarkshire website at www.nhslanarkshire.org.uk and click on the homoeopathy banner on the home page.

The consultation will close at 5pm on Friday, April 11.
