FIRE bosses have warned people to report piles of rubbish to stop people setting them on fire.
They claim the Easter holidays sees a spike in the number of deliberately set fires involving refuse.
Assistant Chief Officer Lewis Ramsay, from Scottish Fire and Rescue, said culprits were risking their own lives and those of others.
He said: "Anyone starting these fires needs to know their criminal actions could cause a tragedy and our message to the public is simple: Fire setting is an offence - don't accept it, report it."
