HUNDREDS of campaigners turned out to protest against the proposed closure of Milngavie's only Catholic school.
More than 300 people attended Saturday's rally for St Joseph's Primary, which saw parents, pupils and friends march from Oakburn Park to Milngavie town centre.
At the end of the march, pink and turquoise balloons were released in memory of mum and fellow campaigner Angela Nicol, who recently died of cancer.
East Dunbartonshire Council has plans to close the primary school and move children to nearby Bearsden.
The scheme would see the end of Catholic education in Milngavie.
