THE life and achievements of the late Nelson Mandela which will be in the spotlight in Glasgow on International Mandela Day.
A ceremony will take place at 1.30pm on July 18 in Nelson Mandela Place. The Lord Provost, South African officials and former members of the Scottish Committee of the Anti-Apartheid Movement will tie ribbons in South African colours to the railings surrounding the church.
The events will also include the handing over of a large container of books for South African youth in George Square.
