The son of tennis great John McEnroe and actress Tatum O'Neal has been charged with drug possession.
Authorities say Kevin McEnroe and another man were arrested during "a narcotics transaction" in New York's East Village.
McEnroe did not enter a plea at his arraignment and was released on bail.
Police say the 27-year-old was in possession of cocaine and prescription medication. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
His lawyer said there was "nothing remarkable" about the amount of drugs found on her client.
Police also arrested Niro Meneses for criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
