AN 86-YEAR-OLD man accused of murdering his wife has died while awaiting trial.
Neil Clark was remanded in custody last month and was being held in Low Moss jail in Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow.
He was charged with the murder of 70-year-old wife, Francine, at their home in Bearsden, East Dunbarton- shire.
Clark made no plea or declaration to the charge during a private appearance at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on June 12.
It is understood Clark was being treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary at the time of his death.
