THUGS put lives at risk by chucking a wheelie bin at a moving train.
Mindless yobs endangered passengers and railway staff by throwing the missile at the high-speed train from a bridge.
A major police investigation has now been launched as officers hunt the culprits.
The plastic bin was thrown at the 8.40pm Partick to Lanark service on Wednesday August 13 as the train travelled through Wishaw.
Witnesses and anyone with any information about the incident have been urged to come forward. PC Craig Jennings, from British Transport Police, said: "It is fortunate that the consequences were not more serious."
