A WOMAN was taken to hospital after being attacked in a City Centre lane.
Police were called to Holm Street at around 3.10am today after a 45 year-old woman was assaulted in a nearby lane.
She was taken to Glasgow's Royal Infirmary and is being treated for facial injuries.
Officers appealed for witnesses to come forward.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "We were called at 3.10am today following reports of a 45 year-old woman being assaulted in a lane in Glasgow City Centre.
"The injured woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary where she was being treated for a facial injury.
"Inquiries are ongoing."
