TRAFFIC on the M8 came to a standstill early today after a crash.
Thousands of rush-hour motorists were caught in tailbacks of around five miles, which stretched from Arkleston to the Erskine Bridge.
The two-vehicle crash happened at around 7.20am and partially blocked the main city centre route at peak time.
Traffic Scotland urged motorists to avoid the area.
