THE City of Glasgow College has won an award for its healthy living programmes.
The college picked up the Health and Wellbeing Award at the College Development Awards.
Judy Keir, a college director, said they were 'delighted.'
She said the college had introduced lunchtime walking clubs, free exercise classes and reduced cost gym membership, as some examples of the work they did to promote a healthy work place.
It also runs a cycle to work scheme, credit union and gives guidance on staying healthy and maintaining physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
In June, the college staged 'One City' which involved students participating in providing physical health checks, beauty treatment and relaxation events including reflexology and aromatherapy sessions.
Graeme Obree, world champion cyclist, also spoke on mental health issues.
