A PROJECT that recycles unwanted office equipment in East Dunbartonshire has been commended for its benefits to the environment and economy.
The council has been working with Yooz - part of Active4All - to put old office furniture to good use since 2010.
The project, which aims to reduce the amount of material sent to landfill, was shortlisted for a Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland (VIBES) award.
The project was commended for its partnership working and benefits by the VIBES judges.
Councillor Alan Moir said it was a 'prestigious honour' even to be nominated and everyone involved deserved great praise.
