A GLASGOW pub has closed its doors temporarily to undergo a £200,000 make-over.

The Beechwood in King's Park on the South Side will reopen on January 22 as a Flaming Grill pub restaurant after an extensive transformation.

As part of the refurbishment, the Ardmay Crescent pub will get new flame grill-inspired décor, new furniture and kitchen equipment as well as a new chargrill menu focused on steaks and grills, delivered on hot skillets that sizzle when served to bring a touch of theatre to the dish.

Adam Craig, general manager at the Beechwood, said: "We are really excited about the new features of the pub, especially the new menu. We're sure that regulars and new guests alike will be impressed with the improved look and feel of the Beechwood."

Flaming Grill is part of Spirit Pub Company which owns and operates around 800 managed pubs across the UK.
