RANGERS legend Sandy Jardine today had a bronze memorial unveiled in his honour.
The bronze bust, created by renowned Scottish artist Helen Runciman, went on permanent display on the Marble Staircase in the Main Stand at Ibrox Stadium.
Jardine's ex-team mates, including Alex MacDonald, Willie Johnston, Colin Stein and Alex Miller, joined Rangers Director John Gilligan and fans to unveil the special tribute today.
Former Rangers and Scotland player Jardine lost his battle with cancer last year. He was 65.
After supporters laid thousands of scarves and strips outside Ibrox in memory of Jardine, club bosses believed a bust of the "world class" player should be commissioned.
Jardine's Rangers career saw him win three League Championships, five Scottish Cups, five League Cups and the European Cup-Winners' Cup in 1972.
It comes after the Evening Times revealed the Ibrox club said it was "looking into creating lasting memorial" to Jardine.
The bust was paid for by the Rangers supporters.
