POLICE are investigating the discovery of a man's body in the water off a Scottish island.
The coastguard said they were alerted to the incident when a passenger spotted the body while travelling on a ferry to Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was found in the Firth of Clyde at around 2.15pm on Saturday.
The coastguard said police and the ambulance service recovered the body and are working to establish the circumstances around his death.
