UP-MARKET furniture store Dwell is to open a new shop in the East End, creating nine new jobs.
The retailer, which currently runs a shop in Princes Square and four others in the UK, will open the doors to a new London Road shop on August 29.
Owners hope the 6000 sq ft venue will give Glaswegians the chance to splash their cash on stylish home furnishings, and forms part of the firm's Scottish expansion.
Christopher Hunter, currently manager at the Princes Square branch of Dwell, who will now manage the Tollcross store, said: "We believe that stylish, contemporary design can be affordable and we want to show customers how easy it is to get the lifestyle they aspire to."
The chain's founder Aamir Ahmad said his firm hope to continue their expansion in Scotland in future.
He added: " Our Glasgow Princes Square store is already our most successful in the UK and we know from our catalogue and online channels that we have a lot of Scots customers, so it made sense for us to invest further in the region."
