Police in Cambuslang have issued a warning to drivers after a “spate” of break-ins.
A Tweet posted this morning by local officers urged motorists in the area to lock their vehicles.
It stated: “Spate of break-ins to insecure vehicles in C'lang over night. Ongoing lines of enquiry. Please remember to lock and check your vehicles.”
A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed that five vehicles were targeted in five separate streets in the early hours of September 3.
None of the vehicles were locked and only loose change and an iPod was stolen, according to the spokesman.
He said: "Enquiries ongoing and we would urge people to call 101 if they have see anything suspicious in the area in the early hours of September 3. We would also advise motorists to ensure their vehicles are locked at all times."
