That nip in the air in the mornings and the turning of the leaves can mean only one thing: autumn is here. The days and nights are getting cooler, which means it’s time to put the sheers and short sleeves away in favour of jumpers, coats and thick black tights.

Autumn is the perfect time to invest in a couple of new pieces for your wardrobe. And if you’re looking for some advice on how to make the most of this year’s trends, head to Princes Square on Saturday 10 October for their Fall into Colour event.

Among those offering tips will be Glasgow-based model and stylist Numba Pinkerton.

“There is so much to look forward to this season,” Numba told the Evening Times.

“Ribbed knits, faux-fur stoles, 70s flares, sexy jumpsuits and 90s-style slip dresses are all going to big over the next few months."

Autumn colours are also going to grabbing our attention, according to Numba.

“There’s a real contrast in colour from opposite sides of the spectrum which, when combined creatively in the right ways, can create chic and sophisticated looks,” she added. “From the earthy neutrals to the bolder statements, this autumn’s colour trends are easy to wear and will complement a range of complexions.

“Look out for mustard, khaki, marsala, orange, brown, teal, navy, grey, burgundy, powder blue, purple, and metallic silver. And look out for the way these colours are being worn – there are some really great options this autumn.”

Fall into Colour takes place in Princes Square on Saturday 10 October and offers shoppers a free one-to-one colour analysis and style consultation. All clothes featured here can be bought in Princes Square.
