Celtic fans braved the Scottish weather to 'Sleep-Out' in the stadium at the weekend raising in excess of £23,000 for several good causes.
The Celtic FC Foundation inaugural event attracted 60 participants who spent the night at Celtic Park to raise money for local families who face poverty and charities who care for those experiencing the torment of homelessness including The Invisibles, Glasgow City Mission, Loaves & Fishes, The Wayside Club Centre and the Salvation Army.
The group, armed with sleeping bags, ground mats, emergency foil sheets and warm clothing, were welcomed to Celtic Park at 9pm on Saturday night by Celtic FC Foundation’s team.

Celtic FC say on their official website that the group heard from Dermot Hill of The Invisibles who gave his fellow participants a small measure of the challenges associated with sleeping rough and the significant impact their support would have.
After a team photo, the group took their places for the long and cold night ahead, and at around 11pm, they received a visit from the club's Chief Executive Peter Lawwell, manager Ronny Deila and members of his backroom team.

Deila and Lawwell each donated £1,000 and goalkeeping coach Stevie Woods held a collection which raised a further £950.
The Celtic Sleep-Out finished at 6am and those taking part also donated their sleeping bags and floor mats to The Invisibles.
