A MAN has been arrested after cocaine worth a street value of £40,000 was recovered from a house in Coatbridge.
Police officers raided a property under warrant on Southfield Crescent at around around 7.25pm on Wednesday, April 27.
During a search of the house, they recovered cocaine with an estimated street value of £40,000.
A 49-year-old man has been arrested and detained in police custody in connection with the drugs recovery.
Detective Inspector Kevin Jamieson, of Airdrie CID, said: “Yesterday’s drugs seizure demonstrates that we will continue to act on information and pursue those involved in any form of drug dealing which causes misery and damage to our communities.
“This type of criminality will not be tolerated, therefore, if you have any information about drug dealing or any type of organised crime, help us keep people safe by reporting it to Police Scotland on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.”
