SOME new residents in Victoria Park have got the neighbourhood in a flap ...
A more common sight in the Indian sub-continent, a family of ring necked parakeets have set up home in the park and are enjoying the latest spell of warm weather.
The birds, which have a ‘fairly mature’ chick, are frequently seen in the south east of England, and London.
Despite this, these birds have forayed north to brave the Scottish climate. Locals say the birds were spotted in recent days and seem to be settling in well.
