A deaf mother-of-four has gone missing after attending a deaf event hosted at a Glasgow nightclub.

Kirsty Aitchison, 30, from the Robroyston area, was last seen on Saturday night at 3am in Glasgow City centre after attending Scotland Deaf Booze Crew event in Campus nightclub.

Family and friends have issued an urgent appeal for information on the young mother who can only communicate in sign language.

Reports suggest she got into a private hire taxi at the end of the night.

Kirsty is described as having long dark hair, 5ft in height and of a slim build.

She was last seen wearing a black crop top, a cream mid length skirt and black heels.

Inspector Leigh McManus from Greater Glasgow Division said:

“Kirsty hasn’t been missing before and it is completely out of character for her not to keep in contact with her family and friends. She was reported missing to police on Sunday afternoon.
“Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace her, and I would ask anyone with any information on her whereabouts to contact Shettleston Police Office through the non-emergency number 101.”
