A man's body has been found in woodlands in North Lanarkshire.
Police say the discovery was made just after 3pm near a residential area in Motherwell.
So far they are not treating the death as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police were called to a report of the body of a man having been discovered in a wooded area close to Kilbrennan Drive, Motherwell.
"The man has not yet been formally identified. A post-mortem will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, which is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
