COPS have revisited the crime scene at a family home which was targeted by gunmen in a plush suburb in Glasgow’s South Side.

Officers are keen for witnesses to come forward after gun shots were fired at the property on Dorian Drive in Clarkston at around 12.05am on Friday, June 24.

The property is home to a 49-year-old man and his two daughters, ages 20 and 25 – but no one was injured.

The window of the house, however, was damaged following the late night attack.

Police previously said crimes of this nature are very rare and reassured the public that there would be extra patrols in the area.

Detective Sergeant Dougie Stevenson, Pollok Police Office, said: “Officers went back to the scene late last night (Thursday, June 30) and early this morning (Friday, July 1) and spoke to a number people to try and find out more information about the shooting.

“Whilst the response from the public was useful we still need people to come forward with information. I would ask locals or those who are usually in the area to think back to just before and after midnight between last Thursday and Friday - the night of the EU referendum - and if they recall witnessing anything suspicious in the area to contact the police.

"This could include anyone or any car seen in suspicious circumstances, one that wasn't common to the area, or any car driving off erratically or at speed immediately following this incident. “Local CCTV is being examined and I would like to reassure the local community that extra police patrols will remain in the area in the meantime.”

Witnesses with information should contact Pollok Police Office via 101. Alternatively, CRIMESTOPPERS can be contacted in confidence on 0800 555 111.
