A HOTEL'S new leisure wing has created jobs in Cumbernauld.
The Westerwood Hotel & Golf Resort recently completed a major spa and leisure development creating at least 12 new jobs for the area.
Work was completed on Friday August 19 and included the addition of three new treatment rooms, a RASUL mud therapy room, refurbishment of the leisure and spa reception area, creation of a dedicated consultation space, a 24 seat relaxation chamber and a pop up dedicated spa restaurant.
This follows a £250,000 investment in the upgrading of the gym in December last year with the latest Pulse equipment.
Paul Bray, General Manager, said: "We are delighted with the new spa and leisure areas.
"There has been careful planning and consideration to ensure that we provide the best customer journey and environment for our visitors and members.
"The product is outstanding and is something we can be proud of in Cumbernauld.
"Our people have received the highest level of training and can be confident that we are able to exceed the expectations of visitors to the area and that of our loyal members."
The official opening of the new leisure and spa area was attended by football legend Alex Totten.
Alex said; “The change is unbelievable, my wife & I attended the spa only six months ago and the place is unrecognisable. "It’s a hotel we attend regular events at and has always been a favourite.
"This development certainly places The Westerwood as the leading 4 Star Hotel in the area”.
