POLICE have arrested a man after an elderly deaf couple were allegedly attacked in their home in Glasgow’s Calton.
The 23-year-old has been arrested in connection with the incident which happened on Abercromby Street at around 10.50pm on Thursday, August 25.
The Evening Times previously reported that the couple, who are both deaf, suffered injuries following the alleged attack.
They were taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where the 81-year-old was treated for facial injuries and a broken hip.
Her husband was treated for injuries to his face and hand.
Police say a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
