Dozens of residents are delighted to have moved into new homes as part of a £6.5million regeneration scheme.
The 60-home development has been built on derelict land in Ruchazie, on Milncroft Road and Bankend Street.
Ruchazie and Cube Housing Associations partnered up to build the homes, which are a mixture of social, mid-market rents and shared equity.
Cube tenant Andrina Dickson moved into a three-bedroom home in Bankend Street with son Ryan, 12, earlier this year.
Andrina, 33, a full-time mum, said: “What a difference. I really love it here.
“It’s great having my own garden. It means my wee boy can go out and play safely.
“And having a driveway means friends and family can park easily.”
Glasgow city council leader Frank McAveety visited the site to see how the new residents were enjoying their homes.
He said: “My congratulations to the housing associations involved, whose collaboration and partnership with the council allowed the development to take place. I am really thrilled to see the completion of such an asset for this great community.”
Cube chairwoman Liz Ruine said the new homes would help tackle fuel poverty, adding: “Our successful partnership with Ruchazie Housing Association means this is another important step in the regeneration of the whole area.”
