A 20-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed as he walked in the south side of Glasgow.
Police said the victim was walking along Old Rutherglen Road, near to Oregon Street, on Thursday lunchtime when he was approached by another man who attacked him.
The victim was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to a stab wound.
Hospital staff described his condition as stable.
The suspect is described as white, mid 20s, 5ft6, of stock build and with shaved hair. He was wearing a white top with the words ‘Nike’ in black on the chest.
Detective Sergeant Martin Smith from Cathcart CID said: “From our CCTV enquiries so far we can see that the surrounding area was busy with members of the public at the time of the incident.
“Somebody must have seen something and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Cathcart CID via 101."
