A man has been arrested over the alleged armed robbery of a man as he left his house.
The 38-year-old victim was targeted in Merlinford Avenue, Renfrew, at about 7.45am last Thursday.
Police initially said two men forced the man back into his Renfrewshire home where they allegedly assaulted him and threatened his 67-year-old mother before making off with personal items.
A 33-year-old man has now been arrested and detained in custody in connection with the incident.
A report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal and the man is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.
