Glasgow residents are preparing for a busy December as they are predicted to spend more than 8.3 million hours preparing for Christmas.
A survey of more than 2,000 shoppers, conducted by British Land, found 15% of residents said they will need more than the equivalent of a working week to prepare for Christmas Day with shopping.
Glasgow residents find choosing the right gift the most stressful part of the preparations with over with over a third of people (37%) in Glasgow set to hand out more than 15 presents.
Glasgow residents find cooking the Christmas dinner (9%) and decorating the house (9%) the more stressful elements of the holidays.
Phil Goodman, Centre Manager at shopping haven the Glasgow Fort said: “Christmas is one of the busiest but most enjoyable times for us here at Glasgow Fort, and it’s no surprise given how much effort shoppers are putting into their festive preparations.
“While some of us are super organised and started Christmas shopping well in advance, we’re anticipating a surge in shoppers in the coming weeks as people look to tick the essentials off their list."
