A COMMUNITY has paid tribute online after a 33-year-old man was found dead in Rutherglen yesterday.

Police were called to a house in the area at around 2.20am after the 33-year-old was found dead.

The man has been named locally as Michael Reid and it is understood he is survived by his son.

Lynsey Bell paid tribute on the social media website Facebook saying: "RIP Mick Reid. So sad. Thoughts with all the family. Fly high angel."

Danny O'Neill said: "RIP Michael Reid. Gutted your gone bro, all the years we knew each other."

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed a post mortem will take place in due course.

The spokeswoman added that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
