A MAN was locked up after he drove a car he had just bought for £150 while over the limit.
Mark Tortolano admitted that on October 21 last year on Crowlin Street he drove a car after consuming alcohol which left him having 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
The legal limit is 22microgrammes in 100ml.
He also admitted that on the same date at the same place he drove a car without insurance.
The court heard that Tortolano had just bought the car for £150 and he was taking it out for a test drive.
He was sentenced to four months in prison and was disqualified from driving for ten years.
