Primark is urging customers to immediately return a pair of children’s novelty cat leggings after it emerged they could potentially be deadly.
The popular high street retailer has confirmed a bow attached to the bottoms could come off, possible acting as a choking hazard.
A Primark spokesperson said the retailer takes the safety of customers, and the quality of its products, “very seriously indeed.”

The spokesperson added: “We can confirm that we are recalling [the item] for health and safety reasons.
“A full refund is being offered to all customers.”

It is understood that, even without proof of purchase, customers will still be reimbursed.
The item’s number is 86503 and it was on sale from November 8 last year up to February 22.

A spokesman for Primark further added: “We have found a potential issue with the security of the bow attachment within the product that may become detached and present a potential choking hazard,” reports The Sun.
This isn’t the first time a Primark item has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Just last month, the clothing chain was forced to pull a range of ‘The Walking Dead’ t-shirts from its stores following a complaint that they were ‘offensive and racist’.
Carrying the caption ‘Eeny, Meeny Miny, Moe’, a couple complained to store management the rhyme was racist because it was well known that it went on to say ‘catch a n****r by his toe’.
